The 'Good tenant scheme' is an incentive scheme for tenants of partner landlords who are full members of North Yorkshire Home Choice; this is included in the tenancy policy.
Definition of a 'good tenant'
To qualify as a 'good tenant', you must not have breached any of your tenancy conditions and have had a clear rent account over the past 3 years. Your home must also be in a good state of repair and decoration which will make it suitable for re-letting without any additional work.
You must also agree to allow your landlord to show other applicants around the property prior to you moving out.
Rewards for being a 'good tenant'
If you are successful in becoming a 'good tenant', you will be placed one band above your assessed band, subject to a maximum of 'gold'.
Contact our Housing Registrations Team or your Housing Management Officer if you have any questions about your eligibility, or for further information.
