If you hold a European Economic Area (EEA) or Swiss passport and using GOV.UK want to:
- apply for a registration certificate to be in the UK as a qualified person (EEA QP)
- apply for a document certifying permanent residence or a permanent residence card (EEA PR)
We can send a 'certified copy' of your passport (and supporting documents) to the Home Office, on your behalf, meaning you can keep your passport while your application is processed.
This service does not include checking your application or any supporting documents, and we cannot provide advice about your application. Using this service does not guarantee success of your application. The fee for the European passport return service is not refundable should your application fail to meet the criteria set out by the Home Office based on incorrect documentation or unmet requirements.
