With a YOzone card you can travel on most buses within the York area at a reduced fare. In addition to this, you will be entitled to the following great discounts:

The YOzone card is available free to any young person currently in secondary education (up to the age of 16) who lives or studies in the City of York Council area.
Your YOzone card is valid until 31 August after your 16th birthday. A £5 fee is charged for the replacement of lost cards. Stolen cards will be replaced free of charge on production of a valid police crime reference number.
The following bus operators offer reduced fare travel to YOzone cardholders (valid only within the City of York boundary unless stated otherwise):
Call in to the Council Reception at 9 St Leonard's Place between 8:30am and 5pm, Monday to Friday. We will take your photograph and issue your YOzone card while you wait. You will need to bring proof of your age (eg. your birth certificate or passport).
YOzone application forms are available from most York secondary schools, libraries and council reception areas. Alternatively you can download a form using the link on the right hand side of this page.
You will need to send your completed form with a passport sized photograph and proof of your age to YOzone, City of York Council, Freepost (YO239), York YO1 7ZZ. We will process your application within 10 days of receipt.
