People aged 60 or over can apply for a senior railcard which gives you 1/3rd off most rail travel tickets throughout the UK for a year.

The national price for a Senior Railcard is £28, but we are currently able to offer them to York residents for a discounted price of £23. Buy one now and you'll be able to take full advantage of cheaper rail travel for the next 12 months.

You can purchase a discounted Senior Railcard by visiting Customer Services, 9 St Leonard's Place, between 8:30am and 5pm, Mondays to Fridays.

You will need to bring:

• payment of £23
• proof of your age (eg passport, driving licence or any official document showing your date of birth)
• proof of York residency (eg council tax bill, driving licence or any official statement showing your current address).

Please note: do not laminate your railcard or deface it in any other way as this will render it invalid.

You can apply for a railcard on behalf of a relative or friend, but you must bring their documents with you.
