If you see dog fouling on footpaths contact us on the York Pride Action line. We will arrange for it to be removed as a priority.
It will be removed within two hours of the contractor being notified.
We will also investigate complaints about irresponsible dog owners who fail to clear up after their dog. Owners who fail to do so, face prosecution or the issue of a £50 fixed penalty notice. Contact the dog warden hotline for further information.
To report stray dogs, missing dogs, noisy dogs or attacks by dogs ring the dog warden hotline.
During May 2007 there was a campaign against dog fouling called York Neighbourhood Pride's red card for dog fouling.
