You can apply to the council to request directional sings to help visitors find your attraction or facility.

Are there any rules?

There are strict criteria guidelines that have to be followed which include:-

  • The attraction must be recognised by the Tourist Board or Local Authority as a tourist destination or facility and have all the necessary consents, for example, fire, health and hygiene
  • The attraction must be open for at least 150 days a year and have a minimum of 10,000 visitors
  • Adequate off street parking must be provied

It is recommended that you read the full policy on tourism signing before placing an application.

What does it cost?

It will cost you an administration fee of £233.00 to initiate an investigation.  This fee is non-refundable.  If your application is successful there will be additional charges for the provision and erection of agreed signs.
