Dropped kerbs and crossovers

Dropped kerbs and crossovers enable vehicles to access property. If you want to construct a dropped kerb so that you can access your property you need to apply to the council for permission.

Permission lasts for 12 months.

Cost

If this application is successful then an administration fee of £43 will be invoiced.

You must use contractor approved by us to carry out the works.

Apply for permission to construct a dropped kerb

Download the application form for a vehicle access crossing.

Return the completed forms (along with a plan showing the preferred location of the proposed crossing) to the Streetworks Engineer. Do not enclose payment, when permission has been granted an invoice will be raised.
