Dropped kerbs and crossovers

Dropped kerbs and crossovers enable vehicles to access property. If you want to construct a dropped kerb so that you can access your property you need to apply to the council for permission.

Permission lasts for 12 months.

Cost

If this application is successful then an administration fee of £40.00 will be invoiced.

Are there any rules?

You must use an approved contractor to carry out the works.

Download the application form for a vehicle access crossing on the right hand side of this page.

Return the completed forms (along with the payment and a plan showing the preferred location of the proposed crossing) to the Streetworks Engineer.

It takes two weeks to process an application.
