Bus Information

Information on all bus services in York and the Yorkshire region is available on the Yorkshire Journey Planner website. Enter where you are travelling from and to and the journey planner finds the timetables for you.

The council subsidises many early-morning, evening, bank holiday and Sunday services. We also help to keep buses moving by introducing traffic measures such as bus lanes and bus priority systems.

The following information services are available to York residents:

Bus information enquiries

You can call the Bus Info (01904) 551400 number for bus information. Calls are answered by Traveline Yorkshire, who will be able to help with all public transport enquiries. Lines are open between 8.00am and 8.00pm, seven days a week. Calls to this number from a York landline are charged at local rates.

Alternatively you can call National Traveline on 0871 200 22 33. Calls to the national number cost 10p per minute from a UK landline.
