If in the course of your business or calling, you need to visit residential or business premises within a resident parking zone, you may be entitled to a Commerical Permit.

A maximum of one permit is allowed.  You may apply for a permit for one specific zone or a permit that will enable you to park in any zone.

Application form

Download and complete the commercial permit application form.  Return the form, with evidence of your eligibility and the correct payment, to Parking Services, 9 St Leonard's Place, York, YO1 7ET or call in at our reception.  We are open Monday to Friday 8.30am - 5.00pm and on Saturday's from 9.00am - 12.00pm and 1.00pm - 4.00pm.

Cost

The cost of your permit depends if you want to be able to park in one specific Respark zone or in all of them.  To park in one specific zone costs £120.00 per year.  To buy a permit that allows you to park in all of the Respark zones costs £465.00 per year.  You may also be eligible for a discount if you have a short vehicle of less than 2.7m in length or one that is a low emission vehicle with emission up to 120g/Km or is Electric or LPG powered.  If you are unsure of the emission level of your vehicle, please visit www.taxdisc.directgov.uk/EvlPortalApp/ (pick 'Vehicle Enquiry' from the boxes on the left hand side and then enter your vehicle registration number and vehicle make).  The price of a discount commercial permit is £56.50 per year for one zone and £219 per year for all resident parking zones.
