If you have a low emission vehicle you can get a discount of at least 50% on some of our parking charges.

You can get discounts on:

• Evening frequent users pass
• Season ticket parking
• Contract parking
• Resident contract parking
• Residents' priority parking scheme (Respark)

These vehicles emit lower levels of CO2 which is a major cause of greenhouse gases. Air pollution also affects the quality of life especially of those people with respiratory and cardiovascular conditions.

You will be entitled to a discount of at least 50% on the price of your permit if:

• you have a light passenger vehicle that has a low CO2 emission figure that qualifies the vehicle for a reduced rate of annual vehicle excise duty, and
• that vehicle meets the requirements of either Band A or B of Parts 1 and 1A of the Vehicle Excise and Regulation Act. Apply for a permit

To obtain the discount you will need to provide the parking office with a copy of the vehicle registration document so that the vehicle details can be checked against the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency's database to confirm that it falls within Band A or B.
