Evening frequent users pass

You can buy a frequent user parking pass that lets you park in off street car parks (except multi-storey car parks, which close at 6.30pm) and at most street meters from 5.00pm to 8.30am Mondays to Saturdays and until 12.30pm on Sundays.

Some on-street pay and display bays also have waiting restrictions that are enforceable until 6pm. Please note that your permit does not entitle you to park at these locations until after 6pm. 

The pass can be used in the following car parks:

  • Bootham Row
  • Castle
  • Esplanade
  • Haymarket
  • Marygate
  • Monk Bar
  • Nunnery Lane
  • Peel Street
  • St Georges Field
  • St Leonard's Place
  • Union Terrace

The pass does not guarantee you a parking space in the car parks.

Download and complete the appropriate form (resident, non-resident or charity). 

Make cheques and postal orders payable to 'City of York Council'. Post completed forms, documents and payments to Parking Services.

Residents

If you live in York a pass will cost you £84.00 each year from 1 April to 31 March. You can also buy quarterly passes for £21.00 per quarter.

Non-residents

If you do not live in York a pass will cost you £120.00 each year from 1 April to 31 March. You can also buy quarterly passes for £40.00 per quarter.

Charities

Charities can have up to five permits free of charge. The business premises must be within the inner ring road.

Discounts

If your car is shorter than 2.7m or is classed as a low emission vehicle you will be entitled to a 50% discount. 

To apply for a short car or low emission parking discount complete the application form and ensure you include a copy of your vehicle registration document which will prove the length / emission of your car.

If you are 60 or over, or disabled, you can use your travel concessions voucher to reduce the cost of your evening frequent users pass.

To apply for a discount using your travel concession voucher make sure you include the voucher with your application form.
