A new Park and Ride site is proposed to serve Wigginton Road, benefiting users of the B1363 and providing an additional transport link to York Hospital. It is located on the East side of the B1363, south of the Outer Ring Road.

A public exhibition of the new site proposals was held in September 2009. For information, copies of the exhibition display panels remain available to download from the panel on the right, but please note that public consultation for this site has now finished. As this site is now in the detailed design stage the final site will be slightly different to these early indications.

The planning application was approved by the Planning Committee on 29 April 2010.  The Planning Approval document is also available to download on this page.

To maximise the likelihood of a success in the competition for funds from the Department for Transport  the Clifton Moor site has been removed from the current bid (September 2011). Alternative ways of funding the site are being investigated.
