In July 2000, local authorities were required to produce Local Transport Plans (LTPs). These were five-year strategies for developing local integrated transport set within a longer-term vision for the city. LTPs were also used by central government, through the Department for Transport (DfT) to determine allocations for funding transport schemes. The complete document is available to download below.
