Everyone is invited to join the Lord Mayor of York, Cllr Susan Galloway, to have an egg-cellent time at her annual Easter egg hunt this month.

There is sure to be a mad scramble when youngsters set out on a citywide quest for chocolate on Saturday 23 April.

Participants are invited to take part in what is sure to be a cracking day. The hunt starts at 10am to 1pm (participants to start no later than 12noon).

Treasure sheets can be collected from Jorvik, and participants only need to shell out £1.50 per child (£1 for each accompanying adult), which includes admission to the Mansion House.

The aim is to egg each other on to solve the puzzles, which will be placed at six different locations across the city - with a treat at each stop.
