Disabled children in York can enjoy more short breaks, thanks to an extension built onto the home of a contract carer. Being fully wheelchair accessible and kitted out with a hoist and other facilities, it can safely accommodate an extra 180 overnight stays a year for up to eight young people with complex health needs.
