Posted on Wednesday 7 April 2010

A series of magical storytelling programmes for adults continues at City of York Council's Acomb Explore Library Learning Centre this month.

Storyteller Cat Weatherill will be presenting her new show called Falling Like Feathers  - a journey into the dreamlike landscape of fairy tales from Old Europe - on Saturday 1 May.

Cat  - who is also known as the 'siren storyteller'  - will be bringing her new show to York, which is a combination of story and song. The show will include stories on The Enchanted Prince and The Witches Who Stole Eyes, which are a dramatic, passionate and cinematic language of unexpected images and seductive stories.

Explore Story is a six month programme of world-class storytelling for adult audiences, which will include top performers Hugh Lupton, Shona leigh, Jo Blake, Tim Ralphs and Simon Heywood.

The series of programmes are aimed at adults, to experience storytelling from their childhood days, but are also suitable for children aged 12 years and over.

Tickets are priced at £7.50 (including a glass of wine for adults) and are available from Acomb Explore Library Learning Centre on 01904 552651.

The performance will begin at 7.30pm.
