High-speed rail link proposals

A report on investigations into high-speed rail links is being presented to City of York Council's Executive on 11 May. The report recommends that, in the short term, the council should continue to lobby for improvements to the East Coast Main Line (ECML) but, longer term, it should support the introduction of a high speed rail line connection either directly with York or via a parkway station.
