Due to growing demand from cyclists of all ages, Cycling City York has extended its summer programme of led cycle rides, adding additional dates for July, August and September.
Southfields Road, Strensall. - Carriageway resurfacing

City of York Council is to reconstruct Southfields Road, Strensall starting on the 13 July. The work is programmed to take two weeks to complete working Monday to Friday between 8.00am and 5.00pm.

Over the past few months City of York Council has been gathering suggestions from residents about the social, environmental and economic issues they would like to see actioned in their local area, and which the local authority does not currently have powers to influence. This is part of a national drive by the Local Government Association (LGA), to canvass views from residents on the additional powers they would like to see devolved to the local authority.
