City of York Council will start resurfacing the footway and installing additional drainage along Heslington Lane on Monday 15 October.

The work will take around six weeks to complete and involves resurfacing the footway; rebuilding the concrete vehicle crossings in tarmac; and installing drainage channels and gullies.

It will be carried out by the council's Neighbourhood Services team between 8am and 4pm from Monday to Friday, although some weekend work may be required.

Access for residents and emergency vehicles will be maintained at all times.
