York's recycling team is joining forces with other 'environmentally friendly' groups next month for a special city centre market.
The Big Green Market in Parliament Street will be full of stalls with ethical, local and environmental produce. City of York Council's recycling team has a stall at the event, together with York Rotters and will be offering advice and information on recycling and waste over the three days from Friday 2-Sunday 4 November.
As well as the exciting selection of stalls on Parliament street there will also be a marquee on Sampson square which will feature a large selection of products from organic box schemes, to eco friendly gifts and Northern artists and designers.
Parents and carers will be able to get information about real nappies in the marquee on Saturday at a Nappochino event between 10am and 4pm. Maria Knight, a real nappy expert will be on hand to give advice about real nappies from 10.30am - 11.30am, while visitors enjoy their complimentary cup of coffee and will be offering a 10 per cent discount on orders made on the day, if you would like to book a place please contact recycling.team@york.gov.uk or call York Contact Centre on (01904) 551551.
The market will be open 9am - 5pm each day.
