A partnership project between City of York Council, Wigginton Parish Council, the British Trust for Conservation Volunteers and Askham Bryan College will see the village pond area in Wigginton transformed.

On Thursday 18 October representatives of City of York Council's street environment team will join parish councillors, students from Askham Bryan College and volunteers from the local community at the site to give it a major make-over.

Plants have been provided by City of York Council, whilst developer McCarthy and Stone is providing funding for some new benches at the site.
