Opportunity to view York Northwest exhibition

Posted on Tuesday 6 November 2007

As part of ongoing consultation on the future of the York Northwest site, City of York Council is holding an exhibition in Parliament Street from 10am to 4pm this Friday (9 November).

York Northwest is large area of land that includes the York Central and British Sugar sites, and an in-depth consultation process on its future got underway on Monday.

A leaflet has been delivered to around 4,000 homes in neighbouring areas, but is also available, along with additional information, from City of York Council libraries and reception areas. Residents are asked to answer a series of questions about potential future uses for the area and send their responses back to the council at a freepost address.

Future exhibition dates are as follows:
- Church of the Holy Redeemer on Boroughbridge Road from 2pm to 6pm on Friday 23 November.
- St Paul's Church on Holgate Road from 2pm to 6pm on Wednesday 28 November.
- St Barnabas Church Hall on Salisbury Terrace from 2pm to 6pm on Wednesday 5 December.

Residents can obtain more information and take part in an online survey by visiting the council's website - www.york.gov.uk/consultation
