York Central Library's opening hours will return back to normal from next week, after temporary changes were introduced to cover staffing issues over summer.
The reference section will be open from 9am until 8pm every week day apart form Thursday, when it closes at 5.30pm. The section will also be open from 9am until 4pm on a Saturday.
The lending library will be open from 9.30am until 8pm on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays, closing at 5.30pm on a Wednesday and Thursday and 4pm on Saturdays.
The library will be closed in the morning of the first Thursday of every month until 1pm for staff training.
Fiona Williams, head of Libraries and Culture at City of York Council, said: "I'm delighted that York Central Library will be returning to its normal opening hours next week. The late night opening in particular is very popular with customers."
