Keble Park South to be resurfaced

Posted on Friday 25 May 2007

City of York Council will start resurfacing the entire length of Keble Park South in Bishopthorpe next Tuesday 29 May.

The work will take four days to complete, assuming weather conditions are favourable, and involves removing the existing road surface and putting down a new one.

It forms part of the council's annual carriageway resurfacing programme and will be carried out between the hours of 9.15am and 4pm from Tuesday to Friday.

To ensure that the work can be carried out safely, Keble Park South will be closed to traffic during these hours of work, but will reopen at the end of each day. The footways will remain open throughout.

As with any construction work, there is likely to be some disruption and inconvenience, although the council will do everything possible to keep this to a minimum. The Contractor carrying out the work will be Tarmac National Contracting Ltd.
