City of York Council will start resurfacing the footway along Heslington Lane next Monday 28 May.
The work will take around five weeks to complete and involves installing drainage channels to the side of the existing footway, creating drainage gulleys and laying a new surface.
It will be carried out by the council's Neighbourhood Services team between the hours of 8am and 4pm from Monday to Friday, although some weekend work may be required.
Access for residents and emergency vehicles will be maintained at all times.
