An exhibition of the work of four adult education classes can be
viewed at the Oaken Grove Community Centre in Haxby on Saturday 19
May.
The exhibition features paintings by adult learners who attend day and
evening classes in the area. Many will be for sale, enabling visitors to
the event to pick up a bargain.
A range of greetings cards based on the paintings on display in the exhibition will also be on sale to raise funds for the Oaken Grove Community Centre.
The exhibition will be open from 10am until 4pm on Saturday 19 May and admission is free of charge. Refreshments will be available throughout the day.
Alistair Gourlay, head of adult and community education, said: "We’re always thrilled that our learners have their achievements recognised in a way that can be enjoyed by so many people. There is huge satisfaction to be gained from study, and every year many of our learners achieve brilliant results."
