City of York Council has started resurfacing the footway along Maple Avenue.

The work will take around four weeks to complete and involves taking up the old tarmac and putting down new tarmac on the existing footway foundations.

It will be carried out by the council's Neighbourhood Services team between the hours of 8am and 4pm from Monday to Friday, although some weekend work may be required.

Access for residents and emergency vehicles will be maintained at all times.
