York residents will be able to meet the new Lord Mayor of York this week as she opens her home to visitors (Friday 1 June).
York's historic Mansion House, home of the Lord Mayor of York, Councillor Irene Waudby,, will be open to residents this Friday - free of charge – with tours starting at 11am and 2pm. Doors will open approximately 20 minutes before the first tour starts and each tour will be restricted to 15 visitors.
Guided tours run at 11am and 2pm every Friday and Saturday from March to the weekend before Christmas, taking around one hour, and the house is fully wheel chair accessible.
To qualify for free entry residents should bring proof of residence, such as a household bill.
