Yearsley Swimming Pool has closed to the public due to technical difficulties.  The centre will remain closed for about a week.

Andy Laslett, head of facilities, Lifelong Learning and Leisure, said: “We would like to apologise to all our customers for this unexpected closure and the inconvenience it has caused.  We are contacting all the clubs, schools and swimming lesson customers who use the pool to let them know we are closed at the moment.”

Customers can confirm Yearsley’s re-opening by visiting www.york.gov.uk/leisure or telephoning 01904 552424 and choosing the Yearsley timetable information recorded message option.

In the meantime alternative swimming facilities are available at Edmund Wilson Swimming Pool on 01904 552424 or at Waterworld on 01904 642111.
