As a programme of improvements to the Tadcaster Road/Sim Balk Lane junction nears completion, City of York Council is advising motorists of some overnight traffic disruption that is necessary to allow road resurfacing work to go ahead.

On 27 and 28 March, and again on 5 April, between the hours of 9pm and 6am revised lane restrictions and traffic light controls will be in operation. 

The road will need to be closed between the hours of 9pm and 6am on March 29 and 30, and on 2, 3 and 4 April to allow the work to be carried out safely. Signed diversion routes will be in operation during the closures.

Motorists are advised to avoid the area during this period and plan their journey in advance.

The work will be complete before the Easter holiday weekend.
