Funfishers Out of School Club has today become the first childcare provider to be awarded City of York Council's full Steps to Quality award.

The Step 3 certificate and plaque will be among those presented at a special awards ceremony taking place tonight (Friday 9 March) at the Park Inn, York.

Steps to Quality is the council's quality improvement framework for Early Years education and childcare providers, such as day nurseries, childminders, Foundation Stage in schools, playgroups and out of school clubs. The scheme aims to boost quality in childcare and early education.
