Pupils from York's schools and performing arts centres will be displaying their talents at City of York Council's eight annual Guitar Festival this week.
The event, will be held at St Chad's Parish Church, Campleshon Road, on Thursday, 22 March at 7.30pm, and will celebrate classical guitar music.
Wes Lawrance, arts education manager at the council, said: "It's a wonderful opportunity for the guitar pupils to demonstrate the results of their hard work, as well as having the experience and enjoyment of performing in front of friends and family.
"The younger performers are either taking guitar lessons with the arts service in school or attend one of the two performing arts centres in York. Some of the players will have a lot of performance experience, but others will be performing for the first time. It promises to be a very special and exciting concert."
Tickets cost £3 for adults and £1.50 for concessions. They can be obtained by calling 01904 554666.
