Posted on Monday 19 March 2007

City of York Council will be resurfacing the entire length of Jervis Road, beginning on Wednesday 28 March and lasting for one week, subject to weather conditions.

This work involves removing the existing surface and laying a new road surface. The works are part of City of York Council's annual carriageway resurfacing programme.

The work will be carried out through the day between 9.15am and 4.00pm, Monday to Friday.  To undertake the work safely it will be necessary to close the road during  working hours and a signed diversion will be in place.  The road will be reopened at the end of each day.

The contractor carrying out the work will be Tarmac Ltd.

Delays are anticipated and drivers are advised to plan their journeys accordingly.
