City of York Council will be resurfacing Moorcroft Road, starting on Monday 23 July and lasting for two weeks, subject to weather conditions.
The work involves removing the existing carriageway surface, some deep carriageway patching, and laying of a new road surface and road markings. The works are part of City of York Council's annual carriageway resurfacing programme.
The work will be carried out between 9.15am and 3.30pm, Monday to Friday. To undertake the work safely it will be necessary to close the road during working hours and a signed diversion will be in place. The road will be reopened at the end of each days work.
The contractor carrying out the work will be Tarmac Ltd.
Delays are anticipated and drivers are advised to plan their journeys accordingly.
