City of York Council's Early Years and Extended Schools team will be on hand next week to help and support anyone who's interested in making taking care of children their career.
York has an excellent childcare provision and the city boasts over 40 day nurseries, over 40 out of school clubs, nearly 50 playgroups and over 250 childminders, so there are a host of career options for people.
The council’s Early Years and Extended Schools Service is attending The Press' Training and Recruitment Event on the 29 June from 10.00am - 4.00pm at the Hilton Hotel.
There will be the opportunity to talk to the recruitment and retention co-ordinator about individual requirements and information will be available on a host of subjects including qualifications, training, and types of experience required to work with children.
Visitors will also be able to find out more about the recruitment provision for the childcare in York. Anyone who would like to work with children will be able to register with the team on the day, and the registration will entitle them to receive details about current childcare vacancies in York.
