Film-making opportunity for local young people

Posted on Tuesday 17 July 2007

City of York Council, together with Digifish Film and Media, wants to hear from young people keen to get involved in a project that will develop their acting and film-making skills.

The two organisations are working together to make a film for young people and want to hear from anyone aged between 14 and 18 years with an interest in acting and film-making.

Previous film or television experience is not needed, participants just need plenty of enthusiasm.

Colin Jackson, City of York Council's drama consultant, said: "The project will be a fantastic way to develop your acting skills and learn about the film making process."

Filming will take place on Wednesday 15 August and anyone interested in taking part will need to be available for the full day.

To find out more or express an interest in the project, young people are asked to attend an introductory meeting taking place at Trinity Hall at 41 Monkgate from 4pm to 5.30pm on Thursday 26 July.
