Have your say on council website

Posted on Wednesday 18 July 2007

City of York Council is keen to receive feedback from residents who have visited its website.

The council is carrying out a customer satisfaction survey to gauge people's thoughts and residents can complete the questionnaire by visiting the website at www.york.gov.uk

The council is particularly keen to receive feedback on some of the interactive aspects of its website, such as planning on-line and the services that allow people to make payments and complete forms on-line. Anyone who has not yet used these new services is urged to give them a try and feed their views back to the council.

The new-look website, which was launched in February of this year, features a range of innovative, interactive services. The council is always keen to hear what people like and dislike about it, and find out which features work well and if any areas of the website have posed difficulties for people.

Sarah Fitsell, web manager for the council, said: "Feedback from our customers is invaluable as they are the people who use the website on a day-to-day basis. It helps us to identify what we are doing well, but, even more importantly, how we can continue to improve and develop these services so that they best meet residents' needs."
