The timetable for the key events leading up to election day is as follows: - The 'Notice of Election' must be published by 27 March at 5pm. - The first day that election nominations can be accepted is 28 March. - The closing date for the receipt of election nominations is 4 April at 12 noon. - A 'Statement of Nominations', which lists all those nominated, will be published on 10 April by 12 noon. - The last date that nomination papers can be withdrawn is 11 April at 12 noon. - Nominees must confirm who their election agent will be by 11 April at 12 noon. - Any voters wishing to change or cancel existing arrangements for postal or proxy votes, or make new applications to vote by post, must do so by 18 April at 5pm. - The 'Notice of Poll' will be published on 25 April. - The closing date for the receipt of new proxy voting applications, with the exception of emergency cases, is 25 April at 5pm. - All counting and polling agents must be appointed by 26 April. - The closing date for applications to vote by proxy on the grounds of medical emergency is 3 May at 5pm. - Polling day is 3 May from 7am until 10pm. - The count will be held at Oaklands School on Friday 4 May and the results are expected from 11am onwards.
