12 Jnauray 2007: Sheriff Hutton Bridge repairs, Strensall

Posted on Friday 12 January 2007
City of York Council is carrying out essential structural repairs to Sheriff Hutton Bridge, Strensall. The work will start on 22 January and will last for four weeks.

During this time the flow of traffic over the bridge will be unaffected but a closure will be in place to Centenary Way (footway), Strensall, in the vicinity of the works.

The work will involve the erection of scaffolding with a 1.5m wide working platform around the structure, replacement of eroded sandstones, raking out and re-pointing repairs to the bridge structure.

No access will be possible for Centenary Way footway near the bridge due to the erection of scaffolding.
