10 January 2007: Have your say on health services in York

Posted on Wednesday 10 January 2007
City of York Council is encouraging anyone concerned about health services in York to attend a health forum meeting on Wednesday, 31 January.

The venue for the meeting will be the Main Hall at the Priory Street Centre on Priory Street, York between 2pm and 5pm. It has been arranged by the council's Health Scrutiny Committee and will provide health workers and professionals, patients and carers, voluntary organisations and community representatives to air their views on services provided or commissioned by North Yorkshire and York Primary Care Trust (PCT).

Representatives of the PCT and other health trusts serving the York area will be present, along with health-related voluntary organisations and patient's forms.

The scrutiny committee would welcome people's views, comments and concerns on referrals, commissioning, mental health care, patient transport services, hospitals, GPs, follow-up care and any other issues. The forum meeting is being held as part of an assessment of health services available to York residents in view of concerns about changes arising from the PCT's plans for financial recovery.
