City of York Council has launched its Christmas holiday activity programme for children and young people in York.
A huge range of clubs and activities are available this holiday for children and young people of all ages as part of the 'School's Out' programme.
The programme is packed full of sports, play, art and fun activities from table tennis to sewing, with something for everyone this holiday.
Free skate park lessons are available as part of Street Sport York and swimming lessons will be available throughout the holidays for children of all levels. In addition, you can take part in craft sessions or take up a new skill.
Christmas parties will be taking place in the many parks across the city and you can take part in outdoor craft events at the same time.
The new Christmas holiday edition of School's Out has all the details of this year's holiday activities. It includes the times for all the forthcoming regular street Sport York sessions from now until February 2008. This year there are some exciting bike projects to get involved in where you can take your bike along to customise your ride. Yearlsey Pool is open this holiday, following refurbishment with a full programme of lessons and activities.
The School's Out magazine can be obtained free from your local school, library or community centre. It is also available through schools and produced for each school holiday!
