The Heworth Without By Election will be held on September 6, following the sudden death of Councillor Bill Bennett last month.

The last By Election held by the authority was in 2001 in the former Bishophill Ward.

The last time for receipt of nominations is Tuesday 7 August at 12 noon.

Any changes to or requests for postal proxy votes must be made to the council's electoral team before 5pm on 21 August.
