The York Early Music Ensemble, from Performing Art Centre 1, will be performing medieval Christmas music with the centre's choir at the Unitarian Chapel, St Saviourgate at 10.30am.
For those who enjoy the traditional Christmas carols and festive tunes York Area School's symphony orchestra and concert band will perform at the Salvation Army Citadel, Gillygate from 7pm until 9pm.
Sharon Hudson, head of York's performing arts centres, City of York Council, said: "This is a great opportunity for the young people to showcase their talents and get into the festive spirit. Everyone is welcome to come along and hear the wealth of musical talent we have in the city."

The council's performing arts centres aim to provide a wide range of performance experience for all musicians, actors and dancers in York. Performing Arts Centre One is held at Canon Lee School on Saturday mornings from 9.30am until 12.30pm. The other performing arts centre is held at Millthorpe School on Wednesday evenings from 4.30pm to 6.30pm.
