Posted on Monday 1 December 2003
York residents are being offered the opportunity to brush up their basic skills through City of York Council's Training Centre.

A new training programme is available to employed residents aged 19 years and over which provides a flexible approach to learning with a variety of courses to choose from.

Training can be undertaken within the workplace or at York Training Centre and the courses include improving communication skills and interpreting numerical information. A wide range of learning resources and highly qualified teaching staff are available. Learners will have the opportunity to take tests at the end of the course which can lead to one or more nationally recognised qualifications.
