16.05.02: Young Voices Sing Out

Some of York's youngest performers will be singing and playing percussion at a lively concert for family and friends at the Tempest Anderson Hall on the 23 May as part of York Live Festival.

Aged between 5 and 7 years old, the children are from 6 of the city's primary schools and are part of the Little Sing project which aims to elebrate of singing with young voices and is run by the City of York Council's Arts Service.

Carolaine Gilderdale, the Early Years Consultant for the Arts Service said, 'The young singers have been practising very hard and with great enthusiasm with the teachers for a very spirited performance.'
