Poppleton Library will opening again in the evenings following a temporary break in late opening following vandalism at the building.

In January, the hours at Poppleton Library were altered as a temporary measure because of the high level of incidents taking place there in the evenings.

But now City of York Council has been able to revise the temporary measures and is offering evening opening again from Friday of next week (April 5).

The new timetable, with effect from Tuesday, is follows:

Monday 2pm to 5pm Wednesday 10am to 12.30pm and 2pm to 5pm Thursday 10am to 12.30pm Friday 10am to 12.30pm and 2pm to 5pm and 5.30pm to 7.30pm Saturday 10am to 12.30pm
