Posted on Tuesday 26 March 2002
Boys in York are being reminded they still have an opportunity to star in City of York Council's exciting summer production of the rock musical Tommy.

The council's performing arts service has filled many of the roles but still has places for talented male singers between the ages of 11 and 18 to take a lead part in a the new production of Tommy which was made famous in the film version by Who singer Roger Daltrey.

The production will have its grand performance on Friday, July 26, at the Early Music Centre.

Talented technicians are also required to design and edit video footage to accompany the production.

David Ashworth, music consultant for the performing arts service, said, "Although Tommy has mainly been cast there is still an opportunity for technicians and young male singers to take part in this stunning rock music production. Anyone seeking further information or an audition application form should contact me soon."

David can be contacted at the performing arts service on 01904 554663 before Monday, April 8.
