Following the introduction of various safety measures at the Beckfield household waste recycling centre over the next few weeks, plans are in place to re-open the site at the earliest possible date, which is likely to be towards the end of April.

Until the site re-opens, residents should use the nearest alternative facility located at Foss Islands Road in York, which is open from Monday to Saturday, 8.00am until 8.00pm and Sunday 8.00am until 4.00pm. The site had to be temporarily closed at the request of Yorwaste for safety reasons.
