15.03.02: Residents' consultation on plans for NCP car park on Skeldergate

Posted on Friday 15 March 2002
A consultation meeting is to be held for residents of the Bishophill ward, on Tuesday 19th March. The meeting will enable residents from the area to hear about and ask questions on the planning application from Bryant Homes for the NCP car park on Skeldergate. The meeting will take place at 7.30pm in the Denham Room at Priory Street Centre, Priory Street, York.

Officers from City of York Council's planning department will attend to answer questions and representatives from Bryant Homes and their architects will give a brief presentation about the proposal and answer any questions. A scale model of the proposed development and computer generated images will also be available.

The planning application proposes conversion of the current NCP car park on Skeldergate into a five story development of flats, incorporating affordable housing.

This informal meeting will be chaired by ward councillor David Evans. The ward committee will then take a recommendation based on local residents' and businesses' comments to the council's planning committee. The planning committee will meet on 28th March and will adjudicate on the planning application from Bryant Homes based on the evidence put before it.
