The Lord Mayor of York, Councillor David Horton, has agreed to hold an extraordinary meeting of City of York Council, following a request from acting leader, Councillor Dave Merrett. The meeting will be held on Monday, June 24th at 6.15pm at the Guildhall.

The next scheduled meeting of the council had been set for Monday, July 15th, however Councillor Merrett, as acting leader, has requested an extraordinary meeting to enable councillors to consider the leadership of the council as soon as possible.
